SOIL BUSTERS can carry out underground inspections to see what utility services lie underneath, investigate root rot/disease, girdling roots, root damage from construction machinery and to locate roots of trees. Trial pit trenches are dug using our air lance and may vary in size usually 1 - 1.5m long, 300mm wide and between 750mm to 1m deep. These trial pit trenches can be viewed by architects, engineers, builders to see if tree roots will impinge on new builds or extensions. We find this method of work ideal to reduce the root protection area (RPA) of trees when undertaking planning for construction works.
